About Mythic Web Solutions
John Worth is the sole owner of Mythic Web Solutions. As a webmaster located in the small mountain town of Ouray, CO, I cover all aspects of website and web app design, development, server admin and any complementary technologies that go along with it.
In 2003, I started this freelance endeavour, and after 23 years it is still going strong. Most recommendations are word-of-mouth, and now I have clients across the country, in the EU, Canada and China in almost every field you can imagine. Businesses that do well and have staying power always have a core of honesty and integrity. This is a belief I keep with me and put into practice at all times.
I work with clients around the country as well as Europe and China, but I also hope to establish a permanent network here in the San Juans in Southwest Colorado. This would include web (website or web app) design in Ouray, Ridgway, Silverton, Lake City, Telluride, Montrose, Durango and cover Ouray County, San Juan County, Montrose County, La Plata County and San Miguel County.
I have a well-rounded and professional field of knowledge in the technologies that I chose to pursue. The majority of my work comes from small and medium sized businesses, arts & entertainment, and eCommerce sales and services.
Learning the languge of the web is a skill related to field experience. It goes beyond just development and code. It means that you recognize patterns and similarities with objects that you haven't touched before. In web development terms, it means that frameworks, functionality and web applications are built within a recognizable system even if you haven't used them. The same goes for troubleshooting. You can move outside of the box to fix issues that have no obvious solution.
The Personal Side
I have a large array of projects and interests. Living in the mountains, I love to go for day hikes when I have the time or bike the back roads. Just getting out in nature is healing... very much needed in this world.
I am a big DIY'er and have a full list of projects to keep me busy. I work on my car, fix other broken stuff (mainly so I don't have to buy new). That includes computers.
I have a personal health and fitness program that I stick to as much as I can. Although I haven't played for a while, I love playing and writing music and have my own recording studio.
